A grim day outside and a grim run… 8.4miles through West Croydon, Beddington and around Purley Way – where there are more superstores than you can shake a stick at. The only green I saw was the edge of Waddon Park, which is where the Wandle Trail starts, and a little bit of Mitcham Common that I crossed at one point.
The last mile or so saw a few tweaks coming back on the right knee but that aside it all went well. And I’m now well poised for running next Saturday’s 1095th mile (click here if you want to join me) around Hyde Park… So far I have think there are ten of us running it, so it should be a good morning loosener before we loosen our tongues with a few celebratory shandies somewhere nearby.
While the 1095th mile is important as a target, I still have a good couple of months to complete the second part of my task – to run at least three miles a day every day for a year.
