Day 52 – RSD 71

Happy Saturday afternoon and went out for a late afternoon run. Still taking it easy pretty much all this week and just running the 3 miles. More of a rest week I guess you could say. Anyways, here is a good power smoothie to enjoy for breakfast along with a big bowl of oatmeal. This will fuel you well into the late morning hours and up till lunch, no problem.

The ingredients are:
2 bananas
baby carrots
frozen blueberries
flax seeds
organic peanut butter
purple and green kale
frozen mango
hemp protein powder
almond milk

I just toss in a lot of blueberries, a couple scoops of the flax seeds / hemp powder, a handful of carrots, a few mango chunks, a table spoon of the peanut butter and enough almond milk and ice to blend.  This will give you TONS of energy and aid with recovery as well.

I always team this up with a big bowl of oatmeal.
